12 Characteristics of Great Leaders, Ministers or Departmental heads
I. Leaders live to serve others.
II. Leaders set the pace, find the path, blaze the trail and chart the cause for others to follow.
III. Leaders raise leaders who raise other leaders and the cycle continues. You are a successful leader when your followers or those in your department, church, business or ministry can lead others and lead them also into leading others.
What we start must be perpetuated (continued indefinitely) in a more excellent and qualitative way by those we raise. I.e those that we lead and raise must do better than us. That’s what we call generational thinking, mentorship and planning.
“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” - Proverbs 13:22
It’s not only what we leave for our children or those who follow us that’s important; it’s also what we leave in them.
IV. Leadership requires paying the price of becoming extraordinary. Extraordinary people are simply ordinary people who decided to do something extra that the ordinary people were not willing to do.
Extraordinary people are simply ordinary people who paid the extra price required – you can choose to become extraordinary or remain ordinary. It’s your choice!
